The Biodieseler Makes ASTM Quality Biodiesel

1. Heat the vegetable oil with the BioDieseler's timed and thermostatically controlled heating elements.
2. Take a representative sample with the BioDieseler and titrate to determine amount of lye needed for this batch of oil.
3. Methanol and lye are blended in the BioDieseler and injected into the hot oil.
4. Hot oil & methoxide are blended by the BioDieseler and settled for an hour. Glycerin is drained & stored.
5. The BioDiesler pumps raw biodiesel to the settling tank.

1. Raw biodiesel is pumped into the "Flash unit" and the excess methanol is "flashed off" and recovered.
2. The heated methanol-free biodiesel is injected with warm water and gently washed.
3. The biodiesel is pumped into another settling tank. The water separates from the biodiesel and the soapy water is disposed.
4. The "washed" biodiesel reenters the flash unit and the ASTM quality Biodiesel is then stored for use.
